Toll in Building Collapse Reaches 31

At least 31 people were killed in the collapse Sunday of a 12-story apartment building in Cairo, authorities said. The toll was expected to increase as the bodies of dozens still missing are recovered. More than 24 survivors were rescued from the rubble, but four of them died in the hospital, police said. Friends and relatives waited and watched as rescue workers searched for survivors. As many as 150 people were believed to have been in the building.
