What: Toys for the Walking Shield American Indian Society’s 10th annual Holiday Toy Drive for Native American children.
Where: Gifts are being accepted at the society’s office, 2472 Chambers Road, Suite 130, Tustin.
Mission: The society’s goal is to provide 20,000 children in 35 urban and reservation communities with holiday gifts.

What: The 12th annual “A Toast From the Heart,” a fine wine auction, Nov. 10 from 1 to 5 p.m., to benefit the Volunteer Center of Greater Orange County.
Where: The Sutton Place Hotel, 4500 MacArthur Blvd., Newport Beach
Mission: To raise money for the Volunteer Center of Greater Orange County, a nonprofit group that connects volunteers with charitable organizations.
