Titan Women Sweep in Volleyball

Heather Bassett had 17 kills to lead the Cal State Fullerton women’s volleyball team to its first Big West Conference season victory Wednesday over host UC Irvine at the Bren Center.
Jennifer Erickson had seven kills for the Titans (9-7, 1-4), who won, 15-5, 15-6, 15-11. Jamie Hill had 10 kills for the Anteaters (1-15, 0-5).
In Golden State Athletic Conference men’s soccer:
Point Loma Nazarene 4, Concordia 1 (OT)--Chris Miller scored on a bicycle kick off an assist from Joe Alexander to tie the score in the 85th minute for Concordia (3-7-2, 0-3). Point Loma (4-5-2, 1-1-1) scored three overtime goals to keep Concordia winless in conference.
Southern California College 2, Azusa Pacific 0--Grant Stafford and Chay Miramontes scored for SCC (5-5, 2-1).
In Golden State Athletic Conference women’s soccer:
Southern California College 6, Pacific Christian 0--Marriane McGalliard scored twice in a victory for SCC (7-5-1, 1-2-1).
In nonconference women’s soccer:
Cal State Fullerton 9, Azusa Pacific 0--Nine players scored in a record-setting victory for the Titans (8-3).
Chapman 1, Pomona-Pitzer 0--Kelly Ryan scored the game’s only goal at the 52nd-minute mark for the Panthers (6-5).
