Arson Investigators Look Into Tavern Fire
Arson investigators are looking into a blaze that heavily damaged a Van Nuys tavern early Monday.
The fire was reported at Thirsty’s Bar in the 7700 block of Sepulveda Boulevard shortly before 3 a.m., said Jim Wells, a spokesman for the Los Angeles Fire Department.
Twenty-five firefighters responded to the call and the blaze was extinguished within 20 minutes.
Total damage to the structure and its contents was estimated at $80,000. No injuries were reported.
