Pleasant Valley Road to Be Closed 1 Week
Traffic along a stretch of Pleasant Valley Road will be rerouted over the next week as work crews install a series of water and sewer lines, Oxnard city officials announced Monday.
City traffic engineer Joe Genovese said Pleasant Valley Road will be closed starting at 7 a.m. Wednesday between the Pacific Coast Highway and Olds Road.
Traffic will be detoured onto Butler Road and a section of Olds Road to bypass the closure, Genovese said.
The weeklong construction will interrupt access to several nearby mobile home parks, including Oceanaire and Sunny Acres, Genovese said.
Residents will be able to get to the parks through alternate roads, however.
The Colony mobile home park will be accessible from a temporary entrance driveway on Butler, just north of the traffic signal at Pleasant Valley Road, Genovese said.
