Kariya Will Visit Vancouver Doctor
The Mighty Ducks (2-3-2) complete their exhibition season with a game against the Vancouver Canucks at 7 tonight at Vancouver’s GM Place.
Paul Kariya, still hoping to be ready to play in the season-opener Saturday in Toronto, will visit the Vancouver specialist who originally treated him for his abdominal muscle injury. Kariya said he won’t play tonight, but he and the team will make a decision about his availability for the season-opener this week.
The Ducks open their fourth season with a five-game road trip and play their first home game Oct. 16 against Philadelphia.
