Seminar to Discuss New Media’s Impact

UCLA Extension will present “New Media on the Leading Edge: A Workshop and Job Fair for Digital Pioneers” on Saturday at Universal City’s CityWalk from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
A panel of industry leaders including Bob Lambert of Disney, Rob Hummel of DreamWorks SKG and Bruce Polichar of IBM will discuss the future impact of digital technology on media and entertainment. Scott Ross, president and CEO of Digital Domain, will moderate.
Other topics to be discussed are career opportunities in new media, multimedia production and tools, and the virtual side of the future.
The fee for the one-day seminar is $45.
