OUTLOOK

Century should be better than last year but not by much. If the Centurions can climb out of the cellar, they will have accomplished more than most coaches in the Empire League, including Brown, expect. “We’ll compete,� Brown said when asked about his team’s chances. The talented sophomore class is probably a year away from contributing, but the extra depth should help in case there are injuries. Marin and Ramirez were second-team all-league players on defense and they will be asked to contribute on offense. Marin and Mendez will both play quarterback behind an experienced line.
