FBI Not Telling All of TWA Crash Data

The FBI knows more about what blew apart TWA Flight 800 than it has divulged, the agency’s top investigator in the case said. James K. Kallstrom said the FBI still doesn’t have enough evidence to declare the jet downing a crime. “It’s not that I’m trying to play games with the public, but I know a lot more than I am telling,” he said. The Paris-bound jet crashed off Long Island, N.Y., shortly after takeoff from John F. Kennedy International Airport, killing all 230 people aboard. Investigators have found traces on the wreckage of two chemicals used in the blast.
