LAGUNA NIGUEL — Sheriff’s deputies found the body of the 74-year-old man who apparently had a heart attack or a stroke Monday and fell into the lake at Laguna Niguel Regional Park, investigators said.
A park employee found the body of John D. Timmons of Laguna Niguel about 1 p.m. floating in the east side of the lake in the 28200 block of La Paz Road, sheriff’s Lt. Tom Garner said. Timmons’ wheelchair was found near the edge of the lake, he said.
Timmons, who was clothed, suffered a heart attack or a stroke and then fell from his wheelchair, Garner said.
