Pollution Research Corp. Profits Increase Tenfold
Pollution Research and Control Corp. saw its net income jump tenfold in the second quarter that ended June 30.
Pollution Research’s net income was $215,000 in the second quarter, up from a $20,000 profit a year ago. Revenues in the latest period rose 35% to $1.9 million, up from $1.4 million.
For the six months, the company’s net income jumped to $474,000, up from $156,000 in the same period a year earlier. Meanwhile, six-month revenues rose 23% to $3.6 million, up from $2.9 million last year.
Pollution Research, based in Glendale, manufactures air pollution measurement instruments. The company attributed much of the improved results to its recent acquisitions.
