Chamber to Hold Mixer, Honor Member

The Sun Valley Chamber of Commerce is inviting the public to join representatives from its member businesses at an afternoon mixer Thursday at Sun Valley Park.
Doris Jacobs, executive director of the chamber, said that a surprise honor will be presented to a chamber member during the event in recognition of the person’s commitment to community service.
“I’m not allowed to say who it is, but it’s someone who has been doing a lot for this community for a long time,” Jacobs said.
The chamber’s mixers, which are held monthly and sponsored by different member businesses each time, are both social events and promotional opportunities for local merchants, according to Jacobs. Entertainment, door prizes and free food and beverages are provided by the chamber.
The mixer is scheduled from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the park, situated at the corner of Vineland Avenue and Sunland Boulevard.
