JETHAWK REPORT : Buhner Tries Other Corner
- Share via
Shawn Buhner came to the ballpark Saturday planning to talk to Manager Dave Brundage about trying some new positions to get out of a logjam at first base. So Buhner was shocked to hear from a teammate he was in the lineup at third, a position he has never played.
Buhner became the only viable option to play third when Carlos Villalobos needed a day off because his jammed left shoulder was bothering him.
“I feel good over there,” Buhner said after taking grounders during batting practice. “Of course, I haven’t had a real seed hit at me yet.”

This from a guy who pitches in the Kingdome.
