Swap Meet Seeking to Add Vendors

A Los Angeles zoning administrator will hold public hearings Friday) regarding applications for several city permits, including a proposal to increase the number of vendors at a North Hollywood swap meet.

The applications include requests for:

* A conditional-use permit to increase the number of vendors at the weekly Lankershim Swap Meet from 125 to 130. Situated at 7355 Lankershim Blvd., the swap meet is also seeking to extend its hours of operation from 7 to 8 p.m. Tuesdays. The hearing will begin at 9 a.m.

* A conditional-use permit to build a cellular telephone antenna atop a building at 15650 Devonshire St. in North Hills. The antenna would stand slightly more than five feet above the area’s 45-foot height limit. The hearing will begin at 9:30 a.m.

* A conditional-use permit to convert a 1,258-square-foot Shell service station at 7601 Topanga Canyon Blvd. in Canoga Park into a 1,383-square-foot gas station and food mart. The business would be open 24 hours per day, seven days a week. The hearing will begin at 10 a.m.

* A conditional-use permit to add a 756-square-foot self-serve carwash to a 14,278-square-foot Shell gas station and food mart at 13703 Victory Blvd. in Van Nuys. The hearing will start at 10:30 a.m.
