A strawberry field will be turned into a subdivision of 123 single-family homes under a plan endorsed this week by the City Council.
The council gave approval for the new subdivision on a 21.6-acre site at North Kraemer Boulevard and Alta Vista Street. Building the project will be Irvine-based HQT Development, which also created the Fairway 18 development in Placentia.
Residential lots in the new subdivision will vary in size from 3,500 to 9,500 square feet. Home prices are expected to range from $225,000 to $300,000.
A homeowners association will be responsible for maintaining the development’s private streets.
