Competition Guide for Fair Is Released

The 1996 competition guide for the Ventura County Fair is now available. The guide lists dozens of categories for the wide variety of fair exhibits, such as agriculture, floriculture, livestock, photography and horse shows.
The competition guide is available at Seaside Park in Ventura and at craft and hobby stores throughout the county. Individuals who entered exhibits in the 1995 or 1994 fairs have been mailed copies, organizers said.
Last year, nearly 5,000 Ventura County residents exhibited more than 20,000 entries in the county fair. This year’s event will be held at Seaside Park between Aug. 14 and 25.
