Doubletree Hotels Corp. has been awarded the 1995 Industry Leadership Award in the humanitarian action-corporate category for its work aiding the families of victims of last year’s Oklahoma City bombing.
The award was given at the UCLA Extension’s 11th annual Hotel Industry Investment Conference in Los Angeles.
The Doubletree Hotel in Ventura raised more than $1,500 from its “Casual Wear Days.”
Hourly employees donated $3 to dress casually, while managers paid $5.
All proceeds went to aid the Oklahoma City victims.
