Chill It, Don’t Spill It
We’re always so worried about being prepared for the next disaster in this town that we tend to forget about the occasional good things that happen. Here’s something you might want to put in your celebration preparedness kit: a wine cooler. No, not one of those cloying wine-related beverages that those two old guys used to hock, but the Rapid Ice wine chiller from Vacuvin. It fits compactly in your freezer until you need it and can chill down most champagne, wine or sparkling juice bottles in five minutes. And when you’re done, you can put it right back in the freezer for your next spontaneous cause for joy.
It might also be helpful after a disaster. After all, shouldn’t some of that bottled water you’ve got socked away be served cold? Don’t be caught unprepared.
