Popular Caspers Park Celebration Revived
For the first time in 10 years, county parks officials today will bring back what was once an annual celebration of nature at Caspers Wilderness Park.
From 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., the county will hold an open house at the park, filling the day with nature tours, hay rides, environmental exhibits and music.
“We want to familiarize people with the natural and cultural history of South County,†said Ranger Mike Brajdic.
The park is off Ortega Highway, about 7 1/2 miles east of Interstate 5.
