Houston’s Clyde Drexler, clearly bothered by a sore right ankle Saturday, is close to normal for Game 3 against the Lakers tonight at the Summit. Probably. “I don’t really want to answer any questions about health,†he said after Monday’s practice. “We’re going to keep it on the game.â€

But isn’t the injury status of a key player about the game? “We just want to focus on the game,†Drexler replied, “if it’s OK with you guys.â€

Or apparently even if it isn’t.

Magic Johnson, who finished 12th in the league in free throw shooting at 85.6%, has made 89.3% of his free throws, 100 of 112, the last 15 games. . . .
