Biopool Gets OK to Market Clotting Reagent
Biopool International has received Food and Drug Administration approval to market a clotting reagent used to detect abnormal or low levels of a protein essential to the formation of a blood clot.
The Venom-Time Reagent represents the latest of Ventura-based Biopool’s products used for the detection and diagnosis of blood-clotting disorders.
At the request of a manufacturing client, Ortho Diagnostic Systems, Biopool successfully modified essential raw materials inherent in snake venom for the development of this reagent.
