Group Opposing Museum Merger Will Meet

LAGUNA BEACH — The first public meeting of a new group opposing the planned merger of the Newport Harbor and Laguna art museums will be held at 7 p.m. Friday at Laguna Beach City Hall, 505 Forest Ave. Motivated Museum Members is “preparing several strategies, including legal action” to block the merger, said artist and MMM organizer Fitz Maurice. Friday’s meeting will be held in City Council chambers. (714) 249-9719.
