Workshop Offers Composting Tips

Gardeners eager to learn the secrets of composting are encouraged to attend a free workshop sponsored by the city of Thousand Oaks.

The workshop, scheduled for April 28 at the Stagecoach Inn Park on South Ventu Park Road, will show participants how to turn kitchen scraps and grass clippings into food for plants.

Those attending will also be able to buy compost bins at a discount and enter a drawing for a free bin.

Participants should bring vegetable scraps and a folding chair.

Following the workshop, a docent of the Stagecoach Inn Museum will lead a short tour.
