Nobel Laureate Charged in Child Sex Abuse Case

FREDERICK, Md. — A Nobel prize winner was arrested Thursday and charged with child sex abuse involving a 15-year-old boy he had brought to the United States from Micronesia, the FBI said.
Dr. Daniel Gajdusek, who was given the Nobel Prize in 1976 for his work on infectious diseases, was charged with child abuse and unnatural perverted sex practices, FBI spokesman Larry Foust said.
