In other Orange Empire Conference baseball games:

Fullerton 9, Orange Coast 5--James Jekums, starting for the first time since last season, was three for five and scored twice as Fullerton (17-9, 8-7) snapped a three-game losing streak. The Hornets had dropped seven of their last nine.

Dan Gusman had three hits, three runs scored and two RBIs for Fullerton.

Pitcher Chris Piersoll, making his first start of the season, pitched a complete game, allowing seven hits and three earned runs.

Riverside 8, Golden West 3--After giving up a three-run homer to Riley Breckenridge in the first inning, Riverside pitcher Kevin Olsen shut down Golden West, allowing four hits in a complete-game victory.

Ryan Rasmusson had two hits, two runs and an RBI for the Tigers (18-10-1, 7-8). Breckenridge has two hits for the Rustlers (11-14, 4-9).

In the Fullerton softball tournament:

Fullerton 3, Mt. San Antonio 0--Kristy Bonwell pitched a three-hit shutout with six strikeouts for Fullerton (22-7) in pool play. Teammate Lynette Velasquez had two hits for the Hornets.
