Forums Planned on Prop. 199, Measure S

The Committees of Correspondence, a citizens watchdog group, will present debates on the reuse of the El Toro Marine Corps Air Station and on state rent control laws during its monthly meeting Wednesday.
One of the forums will deal with Proposition 199, which would change state rent control laws for mobile home parks. The second debate involves Measure S, which would make it harder for a commercial airport to be developed at El Toro, which is slated to close in 1999.
Proponents and opponents of both measures will make presentations at the meeting and field questions from the audience.
The forums begins at 7 p.m. at Orange City Hall on Chapman Avenue.
