Central Los Angeles : WILL STAND TRIAL
A Los Angeles Municipal Court judge on Wednesday ordered Kelli Lashawn Thomas to stand trial in the slaying of her husband, Ethan Allen Thomas Jr., an aspiring journalist who had risen above an adolescent life of crime that included time in Soledad Prison.
Ethan Thomas’ grandmother testified that Kelli Thomas, 20, had shot Ethan twice as the 22-year-old Los Angeles Times copy messenger was moving out of the couple’s apartment. Kelli Thomas faces 35 years to life in prison if convicted of the murder charge.
