Costa Mesa’s LH Research Acquired

COSTA MESA — LH Research Inc., a producer of power supply systems for the electronics industry, has been acquired by a subsidiary of Charter Power Systems Inc., a Pennsylvania-based company that makes power systems for telecommunications and office equipment, the companies said.
Terms of the cash transaction were not revealed. The assets of LH Research, a privately held Costa Mesa company, have been purchased by International Power Systems Inc., a subsidiary of Charter Power.
“LH Research fits our strategy in the power supply systems business,” said Alfred Weber, chief executive of Charter Power.
