Vivian Blevins, chancellor of Rancho Santiago College, has been elected to the governing board of the Hispanic Assn. of Colleges and Universities for a three-year term.
The HACU, based in Texas, is a national association dedicated to bringing together college and universities, schools, corporations, governmental agencies and individuals to establish partnerships for developing Latino-serving institutions.
Blevins, an activist in the Latino community of Orange County, also is chairwoman of the Leadership Initiative of the Minorities in Higer Education for the American Council on Education.
