A Haitian passenger plane with 14 people aboard crashed while taking off and burst into flames. At least nine people were killed, including two identified as Americans. The Haiti Air Express twin turboprop plane lost power and crashed near the Port-au-Prince international airport. An official said the dead included pilot Rafael Garcia and co-pilot Frederique Ooghe, both U.S. citizens.
