The body of a transient man, believed shot to death, was found Sunday decomposing in a makeshift shack in Agoura, a sheriff’s spokesman said.
The unidentified man was found at about 9 a.m. in the 2700 block of Triunfo Canyon Road by another transient man who had stopped by to check up on his friend, said Jim Hellmold.
The shack where the body was discovered is nestled in a small canyon and resembles a small barn. An Agoura resident said the empty building was previously used to house llamas.
