Caleb Ashley

Saddleback, Sophomore

Basketball/Guard

Ashley’s ability to withstand Riverside’s intense defense last Wednesday was one of the main reasons Saddleback beat the Tigers, 102-95, and moved into sole possession of first place. He had only three turnovers, made 12 of 14 free throws and added a key three-pointer down the stretch. Ashley’s defense also was vital as Saddleback held Riverside’s starting guards to 14 points. He came back Friday to score seven points, get six rebounds and four assists in an 85-78 victory over Irvine Valley.
