Sheriff Seeks Help on Liquor Store Heist

Sheriff’s investigators in Thousand Oaks are seeking the public’s help in identifying and finding three men suspected of robbing a liquor store at gunpoint late Monday.

Three suspects entered the Stagecoach Liquors store on Newbury Road in Newbury Park and pointed a handgun at the clerk, according to investigators. All three were wearing dark clothing and ski masks.

One suspect grabbed money from the cash register while another held the gun on the store clerk, officials said.

The three men fled from the store on foot, heading toward the nearby Motel 6 parking lot, but the store clerk then lost sight of the suspects, investigators said.

Witnesses are asked to call the Thousand Oaks sheriff’s station major crimes unit at 494-8200 if they have any information about the heist.
