Ambrose, from Huntington Beach High, transferred to Orange Coast from San Diego State. He has been consistent all season for the Pirates. He had 22 points, 12 rebounds, four steals and two blocked shots as Orange Coast beat Irvine Valley, 94-84, Wednesday. He came back to score 25 points and get 13 rebounds, 10 at the offensive end, in a 95-93 overtime loss to Rancho Santiago Friday. On the season he’s averaging 18 points, nine rebounds and three assists--all team highs.
