Parsnip Fury

There are those of us who deeply resent Charles Perry’s vacuous defense of the parsnip (Forklore, “Pity the Parsnip,” Jan 11). I have hated this “vegetable” since my birth in England 71 years ago. Women used to punish their children by forcing them to eat it instead of spanking them. Don’t do this to us.
