SCC Rolls, Upsets Azusa Pacific

Kevin Carlson scored a season-high 33 points to lead Southern California College to an 83-75 upset of Azusa Pacific, ranked third in the nation in the NAIA, in a Golden State Athletic Conference men’s basketball game Tuesday at SCC.
The Vanguards (10-7, 2-1) trailed by one at halftime, but outscored Azusa Pacific, 52-43, in the second half. Carlson sank eight of eight free throws down the stretch.
Eric Walker added 13 points and Mike Ruble 10 for SCC. Eric Wattree scored 21 points to lead Azusa Pacific (15-3, 2-1).
