Dense-Pac Receives Its Biggest Order Ever
GARDEN GROVE — Dense-Pac Microsystems Inc., which makes computer memory products, said it recently received its biggest purchase order ever: a $3.4-million order from Texas Instruments Defense System & Electronics.
Dense-Pac, based in Garden Grove, will supply memory devices used to store tracking system information for the on-board computers of F-16 military aircraft, company officials said. About 60% of the order is scheduled for delivery within a year, officials said, and the remainder in the following year.
Dense-Pac designs and manufacturers computer chips that are stacked atop one another to conserve space. The company’s products are used in devices ranging from cellular phones to missiles. Dense-Pac reported earnings of $1.3 million on sales of $13.2 million for the nine-month period that ended Nov. 30.
