Body of Unidentified Baby Found in Shrubs
A gardener found the body of an infant Monday while working near a juniper bush at a business complex, authorities said.
The worker, whose name was not released, saw the body in some bushes about 1:15 p.m. in the 500 block of Euclid Way, Police Lt. Ted Labahn said. The case is being investigated as a homicide, Labahn said.
Police are not releasing details, saying that it might jeopardize the investigation. Detectives did not know the sex of the infant, the cause of death or how long the baby had been dead.
An autopsy is scheduled for today.
“It’s not too often you find a baby like this,†Labahn said. “It’s really sad.â€
