Knife-Wielding Man Robs Video Store
VENTURA — A knife-wielding bandit threatened a video store clerk late Friday before making off with an undisclosed amount of cash, Ventura police said Saturday.
The suspect loitered for more than 45 minutes in the Video Tyme rental shop in the 2700 block of Main Street until there were no customers left inside, police said.
He approached the counter about 11 p.m., pointed a knife at the clerk and demanded money, police said. The suspect left through a back door and escaped in a car that had been parked behind the shop.
Investigators are looking for a white male about 35 years old. He is described as thin, about 6 feet tall with dirty blond hair and blue eyes. He was wearing a gray sweatshirt and blue jeans.
