Westside : Unidentified Woman Found Shot in Head

Sheriff’s deputies in Malibu followed a trail of blood leading from a Jeep Cherokee down an embankment Thursday to the body of a woman who had been shot once in the head.
The unidentified woman was discovered about 5:40 a.m., after deputies stopped to check the white sport utility vehicle with Georgia plates pulled over on Kanan Dume Road, about two miles south of Mulholland Highway, said Deputy George Ducoulombier.
Officials refused to provide further details, saying only that the wound did not appear to be self-inflicted.
