GARDEN GROVE : Free Sandbags Offered in Case of Flooding

Anticipating possible flooding, the city is offering free sand and sandbags to area residents. The catch: You need to bring a shovel to fill the bags.

Sandbags, up to 10 per household, and sand are available at the following locations: the Municipal Service Center at 13802 Newhope St. and fire stations at 11805 Gilbert St., 12132 Trask Ave. and 12191 Valley View St. Proof of residency might be required.
