‘Flight of the Innocent’

In his terrific 1992 feature debut, director Carlo Carlei has brought an innately Italian grace and passion to a solid Hollywood thriller plot that features a resilient 10-year-old (Manuel Colao, pictured) on the run for his life. It’s such a jolting, suspenseful chase picture that one doesn’t even want to question the credibility of its twists and turns. Be warned that it opens with 15 minutes of breath-stopping bloodshed and terror (TMC Sunday at 9:45 p.m.).
