Jody Tyson, executive director of the Dana Point Chamber of Commerce since 1992, resigned this week to go into business.
Tyson, a San Juan Capistrano resident and former general manager of Dana Wharf Sportfishing, also served as the chamber’s volunteer president in 1990-91. She has been a chamber member since 1985.
“Jody has been very well liked,” said Don Porter, a chamber board member and the temporary manager until a replacement for Tyson is found. “The chamber board is sorry to see her leave.”
Porter said the chamber board of directors will work on finding a replacement for Tyson after Jan. 1. The executive director earns a salary of $28,000 to $30,000 annually, Porter said.
