Kenton E. Krogstad; L.A. County Commissioner and Attorney

Kenton E. Krogstad, 70, a Los Angeles County commissioner and attorney who practiced law in South Gate for more than 40 years. A native of Superior, Wis., who grew up in Hollywood, Krogstad served in the Army Air Corps during World War II and attended USC and Loyola Law School. He established his law office in 1951 and liked to say he practiced law “from A to Z, or adoptions to zoning.†His clients, among them former South Gate Mayor Odell L. Snavely, included corporations, lawyers, judges and families seeking divorces or wills. Krogstad was a former chairman of the Los Angeles County Judicial Procedures Commission and president of the Southeast District Bar Assn., South Gate Optimist Club and Los Nietos Shrine Club.
