Morbley Back With Matadors

Damion Morbley, Cal State Northridge’s leading scorer, returned to the team after missing Monday’s practice and scored 18 points in 17 minutes Tuesday night against Pepperdine.
“He and I have talked and the personal problems he had have been taken care of, and now we’ll move on from here,” Northridge Coach Pete Cassidy said.
Cassidy said Morbley explained his absence, but the coach would not elaborate.
Morbley, who averaged 20.0 points in two games, was benched Saturday against Cal State Fullerton because he was late to practice Friday.
