Pedestrian Killed by Car in Seal Beach
SEAL BEACH — A 38-year-old man was struck and killed early Sunday while crossing a street in foggy weather, police said.
Craig Thornton, a Seal Beach resident, was walking across Westminster Avenue between Seal Beach Boulevard and Bolsa Chica Road when he was struck by a car traveling east in patchy fog and light traffic, Police Sgt. Rick Ransdell said.
Thornton died at the scene.
The driver of the vehicle, whom police declined to identify, has not been cited, Ransdell said.
