Microsoft to Start Trial of Interactive TV Service: The Redmond, Wash.-based company said the one-year trial will start in March in Tokyo and that it plans similar trials in China, Taiwan and Korea. The service, to be run by Japan’s Nippon Telegraph & Telephone Co., will offer viewers options ranging from pay-per-view movies to home shopping and educational programs, a Microsoft Corp. spokesman said.
