Plane Crashes on Turnpike in Oklahoma; 4 Killed
Associated Press
HALLETT, Okla. — A single-engine aircraft crashed on the Cimarron Turnpike early Saturday, killing three people. A fourth person died when her vehicle ran into a sheriff’s car parked at the scene.
The Cessna 172 apparently was trying to make an emergency landing when it clipped a power line and smashed into the turnpike’s eastbound lanes about 30 miles west of Tulsa, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol said. Federal authorities are investigating the cause of the crash.
