VENTURA : Property Tax Deadline Extended One Day
Ventura County property owners have until Dec. 11 to make their tax payments without late penalties.
The deadline for submitting the first of two tax installments falls on Sunday, Dec. 10 so the county tax collector has extended the due date by one day.
Property owners can pay their bills at the tax collector’s office at the county Government Center, Hall of Administration, in Ventura no later than 6 p.m. Dec. 11. Payments sent by mail must be postmarked no later than midnight Dec. 11. The address is Tax Collector, 800 S. Victoria Ave., Ventura, CA 93009-1290.
Property owners should make their checks out to Harold S. Pittman, Tax Collector. The tax collector will also accept the Discover Card, but a fee ranging between $1 and $5 will be charged, depending on the size of the bill.
The tax collector asks that property owners who have moved, who have purchased property after March 1 or who failed to receive a bill for any reason should call 654-3744 immediately.
