The Wilson girls’ volleyball team lost to Torrey Pines, 15-0, 15-3, 15-8, in the state Division II playoffs last Saturday. The Wildcats, who won the Miramonte League title and finished third in the Southern Section Division III playoffs, finished 18-3. . . . Lathian Tyler of Diamond Bar scored four touchdowns to lead the Brahmas to a 31-19 victory over Thousand Oaks in a Southern Section Division III quarterfinal game Friday night. Tyler, a 5-foot-7 senior, rushed for 149 yards and three touchdowns in 24 carries, completed his only pass for 52 yards and returned a punt 62 yards for a touchdown. . . . Oscar Interiano of Sierra Vista rushed for 173 yards in 33 carries and scored the Dons’ only touchdown in their 9-7 victory over Aliso Niguel to advance into this weekend’s Division VIII semifinals for the first time in school history. . . . Tailback Shaun Malcom of Covina rushed for 231 yards and two touchdowns in 20 carries to lead the Colts to a 33-7 victory over Mira Costa in a Division VII quarterfinal. . . . Ralph Brown II of Bishop Amat set a school record with six touchdowns and rushed for 266 yards in 33 carries to lead the Lancers to a 48-30 victory over Redlands in a Division I quarterfinal.
